Music, Announcements & Pictures

Music:  Depending on the type of event you are organizing or hosting, music is something to consider. Most car shows and organized cruise night have music for people to enjoy, with that brings issues to be aware of. Hiring a D.J. can be costly, same for hiring live music, some hosts have their own sound systems. Introducing music into your event you have to make sure people can hear it, music selection that appeals to the majority if not all participants, and your event insurance provides coverage and /or the outsourced music source has event insurance. The biggest issue with having music you may get complaints that people can't hear it, or it is too loud. Having music is always a welcomed amenity for an event.

Announcements:If you have the ability to do announcements at your event, a good practice is to acknowledge all of your sponsors giving them recognition for their sponsorship. Another good practice is to thank all those who came out to support and participate in your event. Just like with the music, announcements it is important people attending your event can hear them. Having someone dedicated to do the announcing is a good idea. Event with awards the expectation is that award winners will be announced individually allowing them the opportunity to come up and retrieve their award. 

PicturesEveryone loves seeing pictures of their vehicles long after the event comes to conclusion. A good practice is to take pictures of all the vehicles attending, not just ones the photographer likes. We have actually witnessed that happen and that doesn't sit well with the people whose vehicles are left out of the pictures. For award type events, be sure to get pictures of all the award winners receiving their awards. Another good practice is to get pictures of not only the vehicles, any vendors and people attending your event. Remember, people attending will have friends and family who want to see pictures from your event and share pictures with other friends and family. Pictures are a great way for people to talk about your event and recommend your future events, a great way to advertise.

A good place for pictures taken during your event is resources like Facebook, either to a page or group for your event or organization hosting the event, google drive is another good storage source for pictures and the link will need to be shared by some means so people can get to them. We normally take anywhere between 400 to 800 pictures at our event, and post them directly that night after our event. Feel free to browse through to see some examples.
